Love is in the air! Created from sand by a lonely man, Sand Boy is a faithful companion. Though just a small child, Sand Boy is also very innovative. In the face of the lobster king, who tries to invade his sandcastle home, the little boy knows no fear. To him, there is no difficulty… until one day a charming little mermaid wanders into his dream, changing his world forever.
Hailed as the most beautiful children’s puppetry in Argentina, The Sand Boy will transport you to the beach in summer through its colourful design, fetching performances, melodious music and interesting sound effects. Listen to words from the heart of an innocent child and, at the same time, hear the gentle tapping of the waves.
The sand boy (Illusions and tides) shows us in a metaphor that the real world which can at times be so beautiful and at other times so cruel, is capable of confronting and taking away from us even the most fragile and pure treasure of all our illusions. The love with which illusions and tides are fed, will be the powerful force that will protect the two little characters from the hardest and more devastating tide of all.
This is a puppeteer pantomime which aims to stimulate the audience to make up their own version of the story, guided only by the skill of the puppeteer, the music and the warmth of the images.
