La Plaza (the square) is a charming trilogy of short plays where funny characters gather around the square. It is presented by Moviendohilos company, based in Chile. This is a magical and fantastic performance where children and adults can dream awake.

The performance includes gesture language, sounds and world music and incorporates three separate plots: Piruetas (Pirouettes), La Vecina Enamorada (The Love-Smitten Neighbour) and Super Perro (Super Can).

In the first story, two clowns meet in the square; one is angry and sad, the other tries to get his attention in order to play with him.

In the second story, a woman tries all sorts of maneuvers to get the attention of her old neighbour, Pancho. It turns out that she is a witch and eventually she captures his attention through a song. Finally, she carries him away on her broom.

The third story is about the dog Piruetas, who in his dreams transforms himself into a super dog and has different adventures with his friend Aurora, the girl that use to play in the square with her beautiful female dog with whom Piruetas fall in love.

At the end where the audience shares feelings and opinions with the marionette manipulators, there is always a very enthusiastic and exciting response from the children and also their parents.
