Bonraku is a form of Japanese puppetry where 3 visible manipulators control one puppet. In this workshop participants will learn the essentials of constructing a Bonraku-style puppet. Participants will learn the basics of manipulating this form of puppet, learning to work together to create life in the object-puppet. Note: Construction methods will be made accessible through diagrams, explanation and some limited hands-on work.
