Inua, presented by Jori Snell of the Baba Yaga Theatre (Denmark), is a search for the essence (inua) of things spiritual, emotional, physical.

In a timeless space, a woman sets off on a shapeshifting journey meeting arctic creatures, and the untamed forces of Nature. Inspired by Scandinavian and Greenland landscapes, Snell’s intensive physical theatre piece combines multi-media imagery and sound with the subtleties of physical movement and searing emotion.

This Silver Ovation award winner (2010) returns to Out the Box on the Environmental platform this year. This absolute must-see is a sensational theatre performance.

“‘Inua’ presents processes of transformation through the use of visual images… Snell describes how it is through transformation that an awareness of what is real, ‘the essence or true nature’, is born” (Daniella Potter on Cue online, July 2010).
